The April 2022 Workshop was a 2-day gathering of florists from around the Denver Metro area and beyond. We met at Woodlands in Morrison - which was the perfect space and backdrop for our designs and conversations. A light breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks were provided on both days.

Day 1 started with a quick centerpiece design to get everyone into the creative mindset. Next we had our educators speak about their designs - mechanics, design idea, and how to get started. After lunch we dove right into the elevated table scape with The Olive & Poppy. After the design was finished, we broke into 2 smaller groups to tackle the chuppah and memorable moment designs. The end result was stunning for all three designs.

Day 2 was reserved for listening and conversation. We started the morning with an amazing and knowledgeable speaker, Allie with Creatives Learn Law. She spoke longer than she was planning because it was SO good! So many questions were thrown at her and everyone was blown away. After we allowed her to leave, Shannon & Alex with The Olive & Poppy spoke and answered many questions around the topic of freelancers, employees; expansion to other markets and safety with installations, being on a ladder and hiring out for the rigging of anything. During lunch, our photographer for the event, Jacie, took head shots for the attendees. Afterwards, we held an ice breaker by creating a bouquet in 10mins. We thought this was a speed challenge but everyone created amazing bouquets in that amount of time - so fun! Next, we all sat and had conversations on questions that were asked upon registration. The space was nonjudgemental, communicative and fun! We all left with full hearts AND full brains!
